Amarillo Floor Company was established in 1950 by Bob and his brother J.H. (Hap) Laminack and has continued to flourish by operating on the philosophy Bob began in 1950, “It doesn’t hurt to give something extra with every sale. Superior customer service doesn’t cost us anything and makes loyal and satisfied customers.”

Bob purchased Hap’s share of the company in 1958, then he and his wife, Gwen ran the business together until his retirement in 1990. Since Bob’s untimely death later that same year, Gwen has remained as the CEO of the company.

Amarillo Floor continues to grow under the leadership of Bob and Gwen’s son, Robert Laminack Jr., two daughters, Anita Piper and Stacie Wetzel, son-in-law, John Wetzel, granddaughter, Mandi Jackson and "adopted" granddaughter, Natalie Laughlin. Rounding out our “family” are our helpful warehousemen and our dedicated subcontract installers.
